The two-time Basketball Champions League champions are back to the Quarter-Finals

After Hapoel Jerusalem’s loss against Peristeri, Lenovo Tenerife needed a win to establish power in Group K of this year’s Basketball Champions League Round of 16, and they made it by getting over Pinar Karsiyaka 88-79.

The legendary duo composed of Marcelinho Huertas and Giorgi Shermadini delivered once again, bringing the two-time Basketball Champions League champions back to the Quarter-Finals, fighting for the Final Four.

Ending with 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 8 assists, the Brazilian point guard connected with the Georgian center, who ended with 14 points and 5 rebounds.

Tim Abromaitis had 16 points and 7 rebounds with 4/4 from beyond the arc. Kyle Guy had 17 points and 4 assists. Generally, Lenovo Tenerife had a huge contribution from the bench (47 vs 27).

Errick McCollum led Pinar Karsiyaka in scoring with 22 points, followed by Kelan Martin’s performance of 19 points and 6 rebounds. Vitto Brown, who’s leading the BCL this season in made 3-pointers alongside teammate Darrun Hilliard, with 34 each, ended with 11 points.

After this result, Lenovo Tenerife officially advanced to the Quarter-Finals, while Pinar Karsiyaka was eliminated from contention. One between Hapoel Jerusalem and Peristeri will join the two-time champs next week.
