A record-breaking Basketball Champions League Season X, powered by Ameresco SUNEL, achieved historic digital growth.
On Monday, the league reported staggering numbers for page views, video views, engagement, and impressions, while confirming that Season XI will tip off on October 6, 2026.
Per the press release: “The continuous rise of the Basketball Champions League, powered by Ameresco SUNEL in terms of digital outreach has seen a record breaking number of page views on the official website ChampionsLeague.basketball.
A total of 9.2 million page views were registered in Season X, a substantial increase compared to 4 million page views in Season IX.
The most views came from Spain (13%), with Greece and Lithuania (both 11%) following, and Germany (10%) also climbing to double digit percentage. The United States rounded out the Top 5 at 9 percent.
The number of YouTube subscribers saw a 9 percent increase to take the total number to 102,000. TikTok (106,000, +8%) and Instagram (153,000, +6%) follow the growth in terms of percentage of followers.
Overall, Season X recorded 127 million video views, up 18 percent from Season IX. Total engagement is up by 4 percent compared to last season, taking the number to 5 million, while there were 214 million impressions on all platforms, 43 percent increase from the Ninth Symphony season.
Season X concluded with the first ever overtime in BCL Final Four history, with Rytas Vilnius claiming their first title after erasing a 20-point deficit against AEK BC in front of 10,376 fans in Badalona, Spain.
The Final Four saw another new record with 27 million video views – edging out previous season’s 25 million mark – along with 38.6 million impressions and an engagement rate of 1.1 million during the season ending tournament.
The new season tips off on October 6, 2026. The club lineup will be announced later in June, while the draw for Season XI takes place on July 8.”
