Slavia Prague ERA NBK reinforced its roster for the upcoming campaign by signing American forward-center Martez Brown on a probationary basis. As announced on Friday, the 25-year-old Alabama native arrives with a team option to prolong his tenure for the remainder of the 2026–27 season.
Brown, who previously logged nearly 100 G League appearances for the Iowa Wolves and most recently competed for the HKBA Spiders in Australia, is projected to strengthen the squad’s interior defense and rebounding. General manager Ladislav Sokolovsky noted that the former Lincoln Memorial University standout occupies the team’s final vacant slot.
From the merger between Slavia and Nymburk, head coach Oren Amiel is adding Brown to a deep roster. The newcomer looks for a permanent spot alongside Jaromir Bohacik, David Bohm, Arsen Gevorkyan, Travis Harper II, Vojtech Hruban, Sebastian Kremen, Martin Kriz, Javian McCollum, Radovan Mrazek, Nana Owusu-Anane, Pauly Paulicap, Ondrej Pospichal, Frantisek Rylich, Patrick Samoura, Thomas Stanko, and Ronaldo Segu. This collective is preparing for a demanding Basketball Champions League Group G schedule against ALBA Berlin, Igokea m:tel, and Surne Bilbao.
Heading to the Qualification Rounds, Lions de Geneve secured their own frontcourt addition on Saturday. The Swiss organization inked 25-year-old forward Dimitris Klonaras to a two-month contract featuring an extension option for the rest of the season. The transaction was finalized on Saturday, preceding the Samokov tournaments running from Monday until next Sunday to decide the final two regular-season berths. The main stage will tip off on October 6.
