Rasta Vechta picked up 27-year-old Justice Sueing on Friday, bringing a veteran presence to a roster fighting to save their 2026–27 Basketball Champions League campaign. The Hawaii native is back in FIBA Europe’s top-tier club continental competition after making six appearances during his stints with SL Benfica and Telenet Giants Antwerp.
Sueing joins a German squad currently sitting at 0–2 in Group F of the Regular Season. An additional forward option for head coach Christian Held, with the newcomer entering an expansive lineup that features Eliah Braun, Kihei Clark, Dominik Dolic, Justin Edler-Davis, Armaan Franklin, Peter Hemschemeier, Philipp Herkenhoff, Tommy Kuhse, Timo Lanmuller, Matt Lewis, Elijah Ndi, Lloyd Pandi, Tibor Pleiss, D’Mitrik Trice, Lamin Sabally, Lars Thiemann, and Linus Trettin.
Vechta resumes their continental schedule on Wednesday when they host Hapoel Maoz Daniel Holon at the Rasta Dome. They head into the matchup following a domestic effort opposite Vet-Concept Gladiators Trier on Saturday to push their easyCredit BBL record to 2–4.
Antwerp, a fellow Champions League challenger, faced a massive setback. The club announced that captain Niels De Ridder tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during their recent game against AEK. It is a heavy blow for the Belgian champions, who have enjoyed a perfect start to the year. They currently hold an unblemished 3–0 record in the BNXT League and sit at 2–0 in BCL play. Seeking to maintain this momentum without their leader, the Giants return to continental action on November 3, traveling to Finland to face Salon Vilpas at Turku’s Kupittaa Hall.
