Frankie Fidler is the Basketball Champions League Player of the Week.
The 23-year-old small forward secured the honor on Friday following a 24-hour fan poll, beating out Peristeri Betsson’s Ty Nichols, Hapoel Maoz Daniel Holon’s Lester Medford, ALBA Berlin’s Brandon Angel, and Igokea m:tel’s Djordje Topolovic.
This recognition capped off a stellar stretch for Fidler, who had already landed a spot on the lineup for the Team of the Week to become a candidate for the Player of the Week honors on Thursday. With this nod, he joined Gytis Radzevicius, Adama Sanogo, and KJ Simpson Jr. as the fourth weekly winner of the 2026–27 season, powered by Ameresco SUNEL.
His award-winning case rested on a complete performance on Tuesday. Playing in front of 4,430 fans as Sabah took down Nanterre 92, the former Michigan State and Omaha standout did a bit of everything on the floor, reaching an efficiency rating of 21. He finished with 18 points, five rebounds, five assists, and two steals while shooting 3-of-4 from beyond the arc.
This latest showing continued a strong debut run for the Nebraska native in the BCL. Over three games, Fidler has tallied 18.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 2.3 steals per night.
The victory over Nanterre signaled his side’s intentions to be a factor when the Round of 16 and Play-Ins conversations begin. Currently sitting at 1–2 in Group A of the Regular Season, Sabah bounces back against Trabzonspor in Baku on November 10.
