Aris Thessaloniki has vocalized its complains about the referees in the game against Banvit a few weeks prior and filed an official protest to FIBA.

More precisely, the Northern Greek team claimed that in the game’s overtime, Banvit used more than 24 seconds for its final offense. The team expected a positive answer from FIBA, yet the protest was rejected and the former released a statement about the occurrence:

“ARIS BC would like to announce that FIBA has rejected the objection that our team made after the game against Banvit in Turkey. The team’s board will send out a formal letter of complaint to Basketball Champions League, while vocal complaints have already been expressed to the managers of the competition.”
