Aris Thessaloniki is in advanced talks with American combo guard Jamon Gordon in order to strengthen its backcourt. While the player and the club have agreed on the financial part of the contract, there’s still a matter left to be resolved for the deal to be finalized.

Gordon, 32, has asked to sign a one-month sheet so that he’ll be able to explore his options afterwards. If Aris agrees to this, then Gordon should be consider a player of the Greek team.

Aris was looking to reinforce its roster particularly ahead of the Greek Cup final vs Panathinaikos and the FIBA Champions League playoffs against Strasbourg. Gordon is a more than solid option, since he carries experience of EuroLeague level and has played in the Greek League with Maroussi and Olympiacos.

Gordon spent the previous season in Turkey with Darussafaka Dogus, averaging 8.2 points, 3.2 assists and 2.4 rebounds per game in EuroLeague.
