Tenerife defeated Venezia 67 – 58 and advanced to the first Basketball Champions League Final where they will face Banvit for the title in front of their fans.

Tim Abromaitis paced the winners with game-highs 19 points and 10 rebounds. Aaron Doorknekamp added 11 points plus 4 rebounds and George Bogris 10 with 4 boards as well.

Marquez Haynes (13 points) and Hrvoje Peric (11 points) were the only Venezia players dropping double figures on offense.

The Italian squad got off to a solid start and a 14 – 21 after 10 minutes. However everything went downhill from there with their opponents dominating the second quarter 24 – 13.

Tenerife maximized its defensive efforts in the third period and entered the fourth ahead 56 – 42. An advantage which was more than enough to grant them victory.
