A competitive game was played in Siberia where Murcia defeated Enisey 68 – 62. It was a close game from wire to wire. In the end it was decided on details

After a slow start (6-2, 6′) both teams improved with their second unit on the court. Alex Urtasun’s 14 first-half points paced Murcia before the break but the Russian squad had the 39 – 34 lead.

The Spaniards reacted in the second half and finished the third quarter with a 55-50 lead despite Octavius Ellis’ dominance in both rims. He finished with a double-double (11 points and 11 boards). This lead proved to be enough until the end.

The key: Sometimes free throw percentages makes the difference. The guests scored 15/18 while the hosts registered a poor 38% from the line.

The star: Urtasun performance in the first half was impressive, but he only scored 4 points in the second period. Sadiel Rojas was also important with 10 points, 7 rebounds and a great defensive attitude.
