Gabe York led Medi Bayreuth at home to their second win in two games in Basketball Champions League while Strasbourg suffered their first defeat of the season. The German side needed an overtime to get the victory (82 – 80).

After a slow start, Bayreuth played way better on offense and went into the locker room up by 3 points (36 – 33). Louis Labeyrie was leading Strasbourg with 12 points and 6 rebounds at the half (20 + 9 at the end). Then, Michael Dixon started his show with 11 third-quarter points and put both teams close on the scoreboard until the last minutes.

With Strasbourg down by two, (74 – 72) Dixon scored a clutch layup with four seconds reaming to send the game to overtime. Bayreuth was a bit more focused in OT and finally got the win.

The key: David Logan was one three-pointer far from the victory. He missed the decisive one with 8 seconds left.

The star: Gabe York contributed with 21 points for the winners.
