Defending champions Tenerife defeated Gaziantep on the road in a fun-to-watch contest (87-74). The game was decided in the last quarter.
After a strong start by Tenerife, Gaziantep responded in the second period with a great offensive performance. The hosts went to the locker room with a six-point lead (46 – 40).
Tenerife after struggling defensively for three quarters did an excellent job in the last period as Gaziantep scored just 9 points.
Mark Lyons dropped 14 points and Sean Armand added 13 for the hosts.
The key: Iberostar Tenerife close the night with a 20 – 9 partial score to win the game.
The star: Tim Abromaitis led all scorers with 18 points and also grabbed 6 boards. The Spanish team improved to 2-1 while the Turkish are left at 1-2.
