Tough win for Strasbourg against AEK

Zack Wright game-winner gave Strasbourg its third win in Basketball Champions League.

SIG Strasbourg defeated AEK 80 – 78 after a difficult game at home. The French team improved to a 3-2 record while the Greeks fell to 2-3.

The key: With the game tied at 78 and 3 seconds left, Wright hit the game winning shot and got fouled.

Defense led the way for Strasbourg and the guests were coming to the scoring trailer in the first half (39 – 29 at the end of the second quarter).

AEK reacted in the last quarter and they took the lead (67 – 68) with five minutes to go. The hosts needed the best performance from Zack Wright to defend home court and get the win. In fact, the point guard made clutch shots in the last minute to get the home side the win.

The star: Zach Wright was also the best player of the game. He scored 26 points and also grabbed 6 rebounds. David Logan contributed with 20 points in Strasbourg win.

Dusan Sakota and Mike Green paced the guests with 19 and 18 points respectively.
