The defending champions won their fifth straight win after beating Elan Chalon on the road for the Basketball Champions League.

Reigning champions Iberostar Tenerife recorded their fifth straight win this season as they had no problem beating Elan Chalon on the road 73 – 61. This was the fifth consecutive win for the guests while the French champions fell to a 2-4 record.

The visitors had a 33 – 25 lead at the halftime after letting their opponents score just 7 points in the second quarter. The hosts improved offensively in the third quarter, but they couldn’t stop Tenerife’s storm.

With a huge lead and 10 minutes left, Nenad Markovic’s men enjoyed a comfortable ending.

The key: Despite scoring just 73 points Tenerife shared the ball the entire game as they finished with 24 assists.

The star: In his 250th game for the team, Nico Richotti led Tenerife with 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. Tim Abromaitis led all scorers with 17.

Khalid Boukichou had 15 points and 7 boards for the hosts.
