A great fourth quarter gave PAOK its second win of the season in Basketball Champions League.

PAOK registered its second win of the season after beating Ventspils in Thessaloniki with 83 – 76. The Latvians fell to 3-4 in Basketball Champions League Group B.

The key: PAOK was leading by three with 30 seconds left and Lucky Jones sentenced the game with a shot from beyond the arc. The hosts scored 26 points in the decisive quarter.

PAOK dominated Ventspils for 18 minutes but at halftime, the Greeks were down by 6 after receiving a 17 – 5 run.

Nothing changed after the break until the hosts scored 9 consecutive points in the beginning of the last quarter. PAOK recovered the lead and they never let it go.

Team effort: Five hosts’ players scored double digits. Vangelis Margaritis led the winners in scoring with 15 points.

Maris Gulbis got 17 points and 6 rebounds for the visitors.
