Not even UNET Holon was able to stop AS Monaco as the French team beat them at home 94-64 on Day 9 of the Basketball Champions League. A team coached by Zvezdan Mitrovic is still without a loss in the competition as they stand on a 9-0 record.
Everything was pretty much settled after the first quarter as Monaco won that period 26-15. The hosts were in the charge from the first to the last minute of the match showing their strength.
The Key: It was a brutal first half by the Frenchs as Hapoel didn’t have any idea how to stop them. Monaco built 22 points lead after the first 20 minutes by scoring 56 points in that period. The game was already over…
The four musketeers: Elmedin Kikanovic was the first among the equals tonight with 19 points and 6 rebounds. He was followed by Paul Lacombe’s 18 points as same as Christopher Evans had and Gerald Robinson added 14 points and 6 boards for the winner.
Joe Alexander’s 18 points didn’t much to Holon as they suffered a big loss tonight.
With this loss, Holon sinks to a 2-7 record in the Basketball Champions League.
