Banvit remained on the top of the group C in the Basketball Champions League after beating medi Bayreuth on the road 88-76. This was a fourth straight win for the Turks who now have an 8-3 record.

The Key: The first quarter separated the two teams. The visiting squad was on fire in the first ten minutes scoring 27 points and winning that period by 11 (27-16).

The hosts didn’t find a way to come back in the game. They weren’t able to slow down Banvit and reduce the deficit.

The Star: Damian Kulig was the brightest star tonight with 25 points and 8 rebounds. Gabe York’s 13 points and 5 assists didn’t save the Germans.

With this loss, Bayreuth falls to a 6-5 record, but they still have the chance to qualify for the next round.
