Iberostar Tenerife guard Josh Akognon suffered a fracture on the kneecap of his right leg in last night’s Basketball Champions League win over PAOK and will have to stay out for two months.
Akognon arrived in the BCL defending champions almost two weeks ago, signing a contract for the remainder of the season. The game vs PAOK was his BCL debut with his new team and he scored 12 points in nine minutes before exiting with the injury.
Tenerife also announced that swingman Kostas Vasiliadis is doubtful for Sunday’s Spanish League match vs Murcia.
