Iberostar Tenerife forced Elan Chalon to its fourth consecutive defeat in the Champions League with a win in La Laguna 82 – 62. As Ventspils faced PAOK (both teams with a 6-7 record) in the last week of the regular season, the French champion (5-8) is now out of the Champions League.

Tenerife took control early in the game reaching early double-digit leads (18 – 6, 6′). The French squad cut the lead before the half but they were still trailing (37 – 35).

The key: The second half was a different story. After receiving just 9 points in the third quarter, Tenerife outscored Chalon 29 – 18 in the last one and Fotis Katsikaris’ men enjoyed a comfortable ending once again.

The star: Mike Tobey had 13 points, 6 rebounds and 3 blocks for the winners. Devin White also contributed with 12 points and 5 dimes.

Darrin Dorsey and Jeremy Nzeulie finished with 14 points apiece for the visiting side.
