SIG Strasbourg had an impressive game on the road to advance to the Round of 16. The French team defeated Banvit 80 – 63 after dominating during for 40 minutes.
Vincent Collet’s squad had a strong start scoring 6-of-8 from beyond the arc in the first half. After receiving just 11 points in the second quarter, Strasbourg reached a 46 – 31 lead at the break.
Banvit paid Strasbourg back and the French team scored 11 points in the third (57 – 47).
The key: The guests had a 7-0 run starting the last 10 minutes that let them breathe. An amazing last quarter secured a playoff spot for Strasbourg.
Team effort: Miro Bilan and David Logan scored 14 points apiece. Damien Inglis added 13 and Dee Bost 12. Zack Wright was impressive with 11 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Tony Taylor led all scorers with 20 points.
