EWE Baskets Oldenburg finished the regular season of the Basketball Champions League with a win over UNET Holon at home 87-86.

The German team opened the game with a 9-0 run winning the first period 27-16. After the first half, they were up 45-32, but the visitors didn’t give up.

With Glen Rice Jr’s fire,  Holon bounced back in the third quarter. They were scoring from all over the floor in the third period to win the quarter 30-17.

The Key: It was too late for Holon to complete the comeback as they run out of the time. They came really close, but not close enough.

The Star: Frantz Massenat had a strong line tonight with 13 points, 7 assists, 3 rebounds, 3 steals for Oldenburg.

Not enough: Rice Jr had 24 points and 5 boards for the losing side, but that didn’t prevent the loss.

With this win, Oldenburg stayed at the third position in the group A with a 9-5 record while Holon recorded their fourth straight loss. Holon finished the regular season with a 3-11 record.
