Monaco center Ali Traore is quite possibly the most experienced player of the team ahead of their second consecutive journey to the Basketball Champions League Final Four.

The French big also an avid anime fan and would have loved to display this affection in the upcoming tournament (4-6 May). If only he had acquired his Dragonball shoes… earlier.

“I’ve already ordered some but sadly I won’t have them in the Final Four. But I will have them for the French League playoffs,” Traore told Eurohoops.

At 33 years of age, Traore is a veteran of many leagues, from France and Russia to Lebanon, plus major international tournaments with the French national team (including the silver-medal run in 2011 and the 2012 Olympics Games). Participating in the BCL Final Four is special to him for a specific reason.

“I had two tough last seasons and being here in the Final Four with this team….it’s a little victory for me already. I feel fortunate. I hope we can go back home with the trophy.”
