UCAM Murcia was one shot away from the Basketball Champions League Final but came up short against AEK Athens in a tight and grilling game down the stretch.

Vitor Benite and head coach Ibon Navarro talked about the final possession of the game, while also commenting on the refs.

Coach Navarro said the following about the game: “We did not play our best basketball. My team showed the character coming back from 15 points and three minutes come back from 9 points. You have a lot of cameras to judge the last situations, we saw some offensive fouls, and in my opinion, I’m not sure about them… this is, however, what we were adviced that it happened and it happened. Congrats to my team for the character they showed.”

Benite agreed that the cameras can judge the final possessions of the contest: “I am not going to talk about the refs. There are cameras, and everybody can see what happened. They deserved it, they played better like us, and it’s like that. We got to be ready for Sunday, get our head up because we fought tonight. It’s not always like you want.”

Even in the official Twitter account of the club, the following was written after the end of the game. “Clear foul on Sadiel Rojas for tying the game, but no whistle. Many things against us today”.
