The Basketball Champions League announced the club that will take the place of Eskisehir in the upcoming campaign of the competition.

Lithuanian club Lietkabelis will replace Eskisehir in the 2018-2019 Basketball Champions League. Eskisehir suddenly announced its withdrawal from participating in the competition Thursday (12/7).

Per the announcement by the Basketball Champions League, Lietkabelis is the first-in-line team from the qualification bracket that leads to Group C in which Eskisehir was supposed to compete. This will be the debut campaign for Lietkabelis in the Basketball Champions League.

Group C will also feature German powerhouse Brose Bamberg, Israeli club Hapoel Jerusalem, French side Dijon, Fuenlabrada from Spain, one team from the qualification rounds, and BCL defending champion AEK Athens.
