With a strong second half, UCAM Murcia managed to overcome Ventspils and record a 91-85 win in Basketball Champions League Day 2.
For Murcia, Alex Urtasun scored 15 points while Askia Booker helped with 12 in addition to Emanuel Cate’s 11 points. On the other side, Ingus Jakovics scored game-high 17 points and Aaron Johnson followed with 15.
The teams played a fairly balanced first half, in fact, it was a tie at 38 as they went to the locker rooms for the halftime rest. However, Murcia stepped it up a notch after the break and led by as much as 16 points during the fourth quarter (89-73) which was more than enough to secure the game.
This was Murcia’s second win in BCL this season (2-0) while Ventspils has a 0-2 record in Group A.
