Lietkabelis got the 97-86 win over Nymburk in Group C of the Basketball Champions League by keeping things in check during the second half of the game.
Veteran Simas Jasaitis with 21 points and five more players who scored in double digits gave to the hosts a 72-65 lead at the end of the third, which was completed with a partial score 31-19, and that proved to be enough. Nymburk, which was leading by five at halftime (46-41), tried to get back, but with six minutes to play the Lithuanians had a double-digit advantage (83-71) and the game was over.
Eugene Lawrence had 21 points for the guests, but it was not enough.
