Bonn returned to victories in a tough game, not for the faint-hearted.

Telekom Baskets Bonn bounced back from the blowout loss at home to Nanterre by beating Friburg Olympic 83 – 79 to improve its Basketball Champions League Group B record to 2-2.

It was a thriller until the very end. With the score 79 – 81, Bonn’s Bojan Subotic committed an unsportsmanlike foul to Babacar Toure but Fribourg just took one point from the free throws and the possession awarded. On the other end, Joshua Mayo secured the German team’s win with 2/2 from the line.’

Fribourg dropped to 1-3 with this result.

Ra’shad James scored 18 points while Charles Jackson had a diverse output with 16 points, 11 rebounds plus five assists for Bonn. Subotic added 16 points and five boards.

Babacar Toure had 16 points, seven rebounds plus four assists and Chad Timberlake 13 points, six assists, four rebounds for Friburg.
