Jan Span put on a strong performance leading Olimpija to a comeback win against Oostende on Day 4 of Basketball Champions League.

Petrol Olimpija managed to come back and prevail 79-73 against Filou Oostende on the road in Basketball Champions League.

Jan Span led Olimpija with game-high 23 points while Miha Lapornik added 18. On the other side, Nemanja Djurisic scored 19 in addition to Chase Fieler’s 15.

First half was full of ups and downs but Olimpija went on the break with the minimal 40-39 lead. The halftime talk seemed to be exactly what Oostende neede as they started the second half with a 9-0 run. However, the guests managed to consolidate, close the gap and take over the lead (62-61). From that moment onward, Olimpija didn’t let go of the lead closing the game in their favor.

This was the first win for Olimpija in BCL this season and together with Oostende hold a 1-3 record in Group D.
