Medi Bayreuth bounced back from a four-game losing streak in all competitions as they beat Filou Oostende 87-71 on Day 5 of Basketball Champions League.

David Stockton scored 20 points (4/6 triples) for the victors while Hassan Martin added 15 (6/6 from the field) in addition to De’Mon Brooks’ double-double of 14 points and ten rebounds.

For Olimpija, Chase Fieler scored 14 points and TJ Williams helped with 13.

The first half was fairly balanced as neither team could create a significant advantage or hold the lead for long but Bayreuth had the minimal 40-39 lead at halftime. They managed to make some distance after the break with a double-digit lead (59-49) which was enough to break Olimpija’s resistance and close the game in their favor.

This was Bayreuth’s first win in BCL this season and both teams now stand at 1-4 record in Group D.
