Neptunas and Promitheas stayed close in the first half of the Basketball Champions League Day 6 game, but the second had some big streaks. The visitors firstly got a six-point advantage, but didn’t hold on to the lead. Kazys Maksvytis’ team started the last period strong and built a 7-point advantage, but the Greeks had one more run in them that proved enough for the 83-82 away win in the Group D match.

The visitors took advantage of Neptunas 22 turnovers and were also fortunate enough to see their opponents miss three straight crucial free throws in the last minute.

Rion Brown also had a hand in his team’s victory. He got to 16 points with a big dunk and some clutch free throws in the final minute. Terell Allen Parks scored 18 points with 8/11 two-pointers in 28:23 for Promitheas.

Tomas Delininkaitis sank five three-pointers and had a total of 23 points, while Jerai Grant scored 18 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, but the two of them weren’t enough for their team.

Makis Giatras’ team is now at an impressive 5-1 in its first BCL season. The home team lost their winning streak and fell to 3-3.
