Dusan Sakota, Xavier Rathan-Mayes, Vassilis Kavvadas and Vassilis Xanthopoulos were out, but AEK beat Lietkabelis with 65-59 in a Day 6 Basketball Champions League game.

Vince Hunter was once again the man of the match. Tuesday night at OAKA, the 24-year-old American forward/center drained 28 points with 12/16 free throws and 8/11 two-pointers. He also grabbed nine boards.

The Lithuanians didn’t escape with the victory, but were in control of the game throughout the third quarter of the low-scoring affair. They had a 54-48 lead in the beginning of the last period, but it was downhill for them the rest of the way. Mike Morrison’s 5th foul proved impossible to overcome.

AEK’s fifth consecutive BCL victory got the Greeks to 5-1 in Group C. Nenad Canak’s team didn’t avoid the drop to 2-4.
