CEZ Nymburk lost the control in the final period and Montakit Fuenlabrada had the winning shot but the Czech team managed to hold on for a narrow 72-71 road win on Day 6 of Basketball Champions League.

Bracey Wright and Vojtech Hruban led the victors with 20 points each. For Fuenlabrada, Marc Garcia scored 15 in addition to Luka Rupnik’s 12 points.

Nymburk started ‘furiously’ creating an early 20-8 lead which eventually increased to the 38-23 halftime advantage. They kept the game around a similar margin during the third quarter as well (55-42) but Fuenlabrada ‘woke up’ in the last period.

The Spaniards nullified the deficit making it a one-possession game (72-71). Francisco Cruz tried to take the game for Fuenlabrada with a three-pointer but missed the shot and they didn’t get another chance as Nymburk grabbed the win.

Nymburk improved to a 2-4 record while Fuenlabrada stands at 3-3 Group C.
