Murcia got a 63-62 victory over Banvit at the Kara Ali Acar Spor Salonu in Basketball Champions League Group A game. The Turkish team’s strength in Bandirma is easily seen with its 19-3 record up to Tuesday, but the Spaniards scored the “W” tonight.

Kevin Tumba was ejected due to a disqualifying foul on McKenzie Moore towards the end of the first half. The visitors’ two-digit advantage got down to two points in the third quarter and to one in the fourth, but they never lost their lead and got the win.

Brad Oleson scored all of his ten points in the first quarter and Alex Urtasun later joined him at ten points as the only other double figure Murcia scorer. Alex Perez was the match top scorer with 14 points, but failed to sink a winning three at the end of the last period.

Javier Juarez’s team is now up to 6-1. The Turks dropped to 4-3.
