Augustine Rubit held Brose Bamberg in the game and then scored the crucial points as well as making a steal which secured the win against Nymburk.

Augustine Rubit took the responsibility when needed and pushed Brose Bamberg to an 84-78 road win against CEZ Nymburk on Day 7 of Basketball Champions League.

Rubit led the charge with 22 points and made a steal with six seconds left which secured Bamberg‘s victory. Nikos Zizis added 14 points in addition to Elias Harris’ 13 points and nine rebounds.

For Nymburk, Jaromir Bohacik scored 16 points while Martin Peterka helped with 13 and Bracey Wright with 12 points.

The guests had an early 23-14 lead but Nymburk turned the tables going on the halftime rest with a 46-43 advantage. Nymburk kept the upper hand after the break but Bamberg stayed close (65-62) and eventually took back the lead (68-67).  Both teams had their chance but Bamberg stayed calmer and prevailed in the end led by a few crucial baskets from Rubit.

Bamberg improved to 4-3 after this win while Nymburk holds a 2-5 record in Group C.
