Banvit made a furious run late in the game and won against MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg in Basketball Champions League.

Banvit saved the best for last and prevailed 88-76 against MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg on Day 8 of Basketball Champions League. The Turks improved to 5-3 while the German squad now holds a 2-6 record in Group A.

Alex Perez led Banvit with 18 points and nine assists while İsmail Cem Ulusoy added 15 in addition to Sehmus Hazer’s 13 points. On the other side, Lamont Da’Sean Jones scored game-high 22 points while Kelan Martin registered a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds.

Ludwigsburg was ahead 25-20 after the first quarter but Banvit went on the halftime rest with a 41-36 lead. They increased it to double-digits after the break (61-51) but the hosts bounced back and took over the lead (70-66) early in the fourth. However, Banvit nailed 17 straight points breaking Ludwigsburg and securing the win.
