Kendrick Perry was unstoppable in the first half, but the second one was a different story. Murcia dug its way out of double-digit hole and ultimately got a 94-90 double-overtime victory over Nizhny Novgorod in its Basketball Champions League Group A Day 10 home match.

The thriller came down to Askia Booker’s two three-pointers in the second overtime. The 25-year-old American forward finished up with 22 points, Ovie Soko followed with 15 points.

Perry, 26, put up a 16-point show with 6/6 from the field in the first 20 minutes on his way for a season-high 33 points. He even forced five more extra minutes with four straight points at the end of the first overtime, but five of his teammates eventually fouled out forcing Zoran Lukic to finish the game with his five available players.

Javier Juarez’s team is the fourth one that punched a BCL playoffs ticket. The Spaniards swept their opponents in there two Regular Season meetings, got up to 9-1 and dropped the Russians to 5-5.
