It wasn’t all that pretty, especially in the first half, but Promitheas improved in the second half to take down Strasbourg, 77-64, at the Dimitris Tofalos Arena.

Nikos Gikas, after missing his team previous Basketball Champions League Regular Season Group D match, made the difference scoring 16 points. Langston Hall had 13 of his own. Tony Meier and Rion Brown added 11 apiece.

The visitors dominated in the paint in the first half and created a seven-point advantage in the Week 12 match. However, easy interior solutions were hard to find in the second. Ultimately, Youssoupha Fall’s team-high 12 points weren’t enough.

Makis Giatras’s team practically clinched a playoffs spot progressing to 8-4 and securing the tiebreaker over the visitors. Vincent Collet’s club fell to 6-6 and its third straight BCL defeat creates several elimination scenarios.
