The fourth Basketball Champions League Group A playoffs ticket is up for grabs, but Murcia will finish first in the standings. The Spaniards secured the top spot with a 78-70 win against Anwil at the Palacio de los Deportes on Tuesday.

Ovie Soko started strong scoring all of his team-high 16 points in the first half. Alex Urtasun added 14 points and Milton Doyle had 13 of his own in Gameday 12 action.

Michal Michalak posted 17 points and Nikola Markovic added 16 for the visitors.

The hosts blew the game open with a 22-1 run at the end of the first half. Anwil closed the gap, but didn’t really get back in the game the rest of the way.

Javier Juarez’s team had already clinched a playoffs berth, but progressed to 11-1 with its sixth straight win anyway. Igor Milicic’s team dropped to 4-8 after its fourth consecutive BCL defeat wandering away from the playoffs conversation.
