Brose Bamberg secured a Basketball Champions League playoffs spot by beating Telenet Giants Antwerp.

Despite falling in a 14-point hole during the first half, Bamberg turned the Basketball Champions League Week 12 game around to beat Antwerp, 82-78. The Brose Arena crowd pushed the Germans towards the “W”, which assured Federico Perego’s team a playoff spot.

Tyrese Rise paved the way for the hosts pouring 24 points including a clutch floater with 11 seconds to go. The 31-year-old point guard dished six helpers and grabbed five rebounds.

Cliff Alexander was dunking around on his way for a 12-point, 11-rebound double-double.

Ismael Bako and Hans Vanwijn both scored 15 points for the visitors. Paris Lee followed with 13.

The Germans advanced to 8-4 in Group C. Roel Moors’ club failed to secure a place in the February 8th draw falling to 6-6.
