Venezia put on a strong first quarter and stayed ahead until the end against Fribourg in Basketball Champions League.

Umana Reyer Venezia dominated the first quarter (28-8) from which Fribourg Olympic never fully recovered as the Italians recorded a 72-62 home win on Day 14 of Basketball Champions League.

Stefano Tonut led the way for Venezia with 17 points in addition to Deron Washington’s 12. On the other side, Justin Roberson scored 17 and Andre Williamson ten points.

Venezia improved to 10-4 finishing on the second spot of Group B while Fribourg stayed at a 3-11 record.
