AEK completed the Basketball Champions Regular Season beating Telenet Giants Antwerp, 77-76. The defending champions clinched Group C’s top spot with their win at the OAKA Olympic Indoor Hall on Wednesday.

The Greeks will travel to Brazil for the FIBA Intercontinental Cup, but will first learn their playoffs opponent. The draw for the Champions League Round of 16 stage will take place on February 8th.

The usual suspect, Vince Hunter, led the way posting 19 points in the final Gameday of the Regular Season. Luca Banchi’s team ended the group stage on a four-game winning streak and a 12-2 record.

AEK never trailed, but Roel Moors’ side took their opponents to the limit before dropping to 7-7. The Belgians would finish in fourth place anyway. Ismael Bako put up a game-high 19 points for the losing side.
