The OAKA Olympic Indoor Hall was hot, but Federico Perego’s players riding on their 71-67 home win progressed to the Basketball Champions League Final Four. The 69-67 loss in the second half of the two-game quarterfinals series was enough for a spot among the four top teams of the 2018-19 BCL campaign.

Tyrese Rice nailed four shots beyond the arc silencing the crowd each time, but his final effort, a difficult floater, brought his total up to 25 points and handed his team the Final Four berth. Bryce Taylor added 11 points. Cliff Alexander’s power in the paint helped out as well, so did his eight points, nine boards and two blocks.

Vince Hunter finished his impressive BCL season with a 19-point, 11-rebound double-double facing one of his toughest battles yet. Delroy James followed with 12 points to his name and Giannoulis Larentzakis notched ten.
