Peristeri has agreed to terms with Georgian national team head coach Ilias Zouros according to Eurohoops sources.

Zouros will return to coaching at a club level since his 2016-2017 stint with Buducnost Podgorica. He will also be back to coaching in his native Greece for the first time after 2010 when he was the coach of Panellinios during the team’s first-time run to the EuroCup Final Four.

In 2019-2020, Peristeri will compete in the Basketball Champions League, apart from the Greek championship. This will mark the club’s return to a continental competition after a 15-year absence.

Throughout his career, Zouros has also coached such clubs as Olympiacos, Zalgiris Kaunas and Anadolu Efes.

UPDATE: Peristeri made the deal official via press release on Tuesday.
