Christos Saloustros is nearing a deal with Peristeri, according to Eurohoops sources. Talks during the last days brought the 29-year-old Greek swingman close to a two-year contract with the Greek Basketball Champions League side.

Similar to Nikos Gikas, who is ready to move to AEK, Saloustros is a former teammate of Giannis Antetokounmpo at Filathlitikos and a current member of Promitheas on the move. He later played for Kolossos, PAOK and Panionios in the Greek Basket League.

His 2018-19 campaign was his first in European club competitions. He helped the Patras team progress to the Basketball Champions League Playoffs averaging 5.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists per match.

He marked his fifth Basket League campaign with 5.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists per contest, before adding 6.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1 assist per game in his team run to the Playoffs finals.

UPDATE: Peristeri BC confirmed the signing on the 1st of July.
