Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari agreed with Gianmarco Pozzecco for a two-year contract extension, the Basketball Champions League participant announced on Friday. Taking over during the 2019-20 season, the former Italian international as a player led his side to the FIBA Europe Cup title and to second place in LBA Serie A’s regular season.
“I am very happy” mentioned Pozzecco upon signing his new contract, “Looking back on my career as a coach I can only remember that it was a completely different situation last February. I was basically forgotten and for good reason because of my previous results. I was rightly pessimistic that some general manager or president would be still willing to believe in me. So today I am happy for this reason.”
