Five teams have all but checked their tickets for the regular season of the Basketball Champions League, following the completion of Gameday 1 of the Qualifiers Round 2.

We are talking about Lietkabelis, last season’s third-place winner Antwerp Giants, Nizhny Novgorod, Telekom Baskets Bonn, and Mornar Bar. They all got away wins with considerable margins over their opponents and a strong upper hand in the series.

Overall, six visiting squads got victories.

Lietkabelis took perhaps the most stunning win of them all since the team came back from a 21-point deficit to beat Keravnos by 16. Ken Brown scored 22 points for the Lithuanian squad.

As for Antwerp, Owen Klassen had 18 points to pace his team to a rout over Sodertalje Kings, the defending Swedish League champions.

In Lisbon, Jacob Pullen dropped 29 points to lead Mornar Bar to a blowout victory over Benfica.
