The Basketball Champions League inked a deal with live-streaming sports service DAZN.

Ahead of the 2019-20 edition of Basketball Champions League and the next three seasons overall, the BCL announced its agreement with DAZN for the full coverage of FIBA’s premier club competition in Spain.

Per Basketball Champions League: “On Thursday, the Basketball Champions League announced it has signed a three-year agreement for Spain with leading live-streaming sports service DAZN over the period 2019-2022.

The agreement comes into effect immediately, with DAZN set to carry full coverage of the Basketball Champions League, running each season from October to May. With this agreement, DAZN will provide its viewers the opportunity to follow the European journey of Casademont Zaragoza, Baxi Manresa, Iberostar Tenerife and San Pablo Burgos.

Basketball Champions League CEO Patrick Comninos endorsed the partnership with DAZN. “It is a great pleasure for us to team up with DAZN, a leading broadcaster group in Spain and in Europe”, he said. “The Basketball Champions League exposure will be maximised thanks to the broadcasting of the games of all Spanish clubs by DAZN, and we are glad to see the Basketball Champions League extending its experience through digital coverage. DAZN provides the perfect way to consume sports for the future generation, offering the best of its experience to its viewers, and to each and every basketball fan.”

“We are very happy to be able to offer basketball fans the Basketball Champions League, a competition with an important participation of Spanish teams. Our aim is to continue to expand the sports catalogue so that fans can easily access as many competitions as possible at an affordable price,” said Veronica Diquattro, DAZN Executive Vice President for Southern Europe.

The action tips off on October 15 and concludes with the Final Four, scheduled for May 1-3, 2020.
