Trevis Simpson and Vechta dominated the fourth quarter against Anwil for a win in their first game in a European competition

Trevis Simpson stepped up and led RASTA Vechta to an 89-76 home win against Anwil Wloclawek in Basketball Champions League Group B. This was the German club’s first game in a European competition.

Simpson scored 13 points in the first half and kept going on his way to game-high 30 points while also grabbing five rebounds. Steve Vasturia and Kamari Murphy added 15 points each.

For Anwil, Chris Dowe scored 18 in addition to Rolands Freimanis’ 17 and Tony Wroten’s 15 points.

Vechta was ahead 23-19 after the first quarter and 40-33 at halftime. Anwil bounced back after the break and took over the lead at the start of the final period (64-62) but Vechta dominated the rest of the game to log a convincing win.
