A tight affair saw the new-look Belgian club secure the victory at home.

Telenet Giants Antwerp was out of sync in the first half, but made its way back for the 93-90 victory over Teksut Bandirma at the Lotto Arena on Wednesday.

Luka Rupnik was the star of the Basketball Champions League Round 2 match finishing with 22 points behind 6/12 from the field. Victor Sanders scored 16 points, Ibrahima Fall Faye also put up 16 points to go along with 10 rebounds and Owen Klassen added 15 points.

The hosts got their first lead of the game in the second half, still had to overcome a 9-point deficit in the third quarter and prevail in a tightly contested affair down the stretch.

Christophe Beghin led his team to 1-1 in Group B dropping Hakan Demir’s side to 0-2. Jaime Smith’s game-high 23 points did not make the cut for the Turkish team, while Omar Prewitt posted 16 points.
