Peristeri winmasters added Yanick Moreira, the Greek club announced on Friday.

The Angolan center was in talks with AEK as well, but was ultimately acquired by another Greece Basketball Champions League representative shortly after Mike Morrison’s injury to reinforce Ilias Zouros’ frontline.

The SMU alumni is no stranger to BCL nor Basket League. He played in Greece last season as a member of PAOK, also competed in the BCL with the Greek team before moving to Segafredo Virtus Bologna and helping the Italian side capture the Champions League title.

Trough 17 Basketball Champions League appearances, Moreira averaged 9.3 points and 5.8 rebounds per contest. He also notched 10.5 points per Basket League game and 12.3 points per LBA Serie A match. His other European experiences include Spain, France and Russia.

Peristeri currently stands at 2-1 in Group C of BCL, is 5-0 in Greece’s top division as well.
