Mornar recovered from a big deficit but Brose Bamberg still won in front of the home crowd

Brose Bamberg gambled away a big early lead but still logged an 81-76 home win against Mornar Bar in Basketball Champions League. Brose improved to 2-2 while Mornar lost all four of its games (0-4) in Group C.

Assem Marei led the way with 17 points in addition to Tre McLean’s 15 and Kameron Taylor’s 12 points.

For Mornar, Derek Needham and Jacob Pullen banked 19 points each while Milko Bjelica added 12.

After a tied first quarter (18-18), Bamberg made a huge 20-0 run to start the second quarter (38-18) but Mornar cut the gap to 44-37 at halftime. They even took over the lead after the break (47-46) but for just a short while as the hosts grabbed it back (61-58) and didn’t let go until the very end.
